You have written this really well. The progression as you called it is gradual, mature and with no ill feelings. Wish canon had gone like this too. Sixth year was just completely bonkers in canon. Thanks for the story.

This is the second story in a row that I've read where Ron is (in this case, eventually) mature about Harry and Hermione's relationship. My favorite fanfic Ron is the immature, jealous Ron who can't handle getting something (in this case, Hermione) that he thinks he deserves (and that Harry doesn't already have), which ultimately leads to him having his ass handed to him either by Harry, Hermione or both, but I enjoy the occasional mature Ron story when it's handled well like this is.

Like this story a lot and I'm amazed that I didn't review it befor this. Somehow, you managed to pack a slow shift in their feelings in a mere 6.7K words. That it seem so leisurely is magical. So many issues were covered in such a small package.

One thing I wondered is why they wouldn't show the book to Slughorn. Still, McGanagall s a good choice.

The Weasley reaction was good.

Like some others, I would like it if the theme were extended though the hunt and battle.

What a wonderful Harmony one-shot! That too, set during their sixth year which in my opinion was the start of their downfall. For me, the first five HP books had set the stage for a blossoming romance between our hero & his bookworm best friend. Yet the sixth book pretty much cemented the fact that JKR had different plans for them. Your fic, on the other hand, showed us a beautiful what-if version for Harry and Hermione! I was very pleased w/ how your portrayed both characters, especially Harry, who took more initiative in being a better friend to Hermione. Here was a girl who had sacrificed so much for her supposedly platonic friend that was unwittingly taking advantage of her deep affection for almost six years! I really enjoyed the way you showed Harry finally appreciating Hermione and vice versa! You've done a great job in writing a believable romance between the pair, and that too w/o bashing any characters! You're a talented writer for sure! :-)
