Interesting story. A little hard to tell if it comes off as Shinichi caring about Kaito or Shinichi talking like Aito forced him into a relationship and he thinks Kaito is just a freak... so hard to see if their relationship is supposed to be mutual or not the way it's written. Still, a cool concept for the story, and well enough written.

I have to say, that something about this story has me placing it in my top 10 KaiShin fanfics ever. I can't put a finger on it exactly. But I absolutely adore Kaito being a criminal mastermind just by sitting around and writing up stories. I wonder what would happen if Shinichi's dad ever came across the stuff Kaito came up with? Ah, in any case this was fantastic, I loved it. Great job. Hakuba's reaction was my favorite by far.

I believe it really shows your genius that you manage to even give your readers this slightly creepy/uncomfortable feeling. Even though Kaito is about as far from a murderer as possible.
But it was funny too. And really, no matter what it is, I really enjoy reading about Kaito/Shinichi. So (please) keep up the great work!

It kind of surprised me at first that Shinichi was disturbed by how detailed the files are since his father is a crime novelist who comes up with murders and what not. But then, thinking about it, considering the fact that Kaito has pulled off some extremely elaborate heists AND thought these things through probably hit a lot closer to home since he has proven he has the capabilities to do some crazy things.

Really made me think about how much of a terror he would be if he were bad. On the flip side, I've always felt that more so about Shinichi. I have a feeling he would be able to pull off the perfect crime.

i don't know why this is so amusing to me, but honestly, i'd probably react like shinichi and be a tiny bit disturbed, even if knowing there'd truly be no chance of x happening. i suppose just because it's just one of those things where one is impressed, but also duly mystified and a little horrified at how adept one can be in the concerns of material that's not so savory. it was a nice gesture, but yeah, no need to keep continuing it for his sake, shinichi can (will) find something else to relieve his boredom, haha.

Now Kaito could probably publish those stories he wrote for Shinichi and become a mystery writer himself XD

Was so nice to see some more Detective Conan from you~ I've been looking forward to seeing the next update for Seasons (i hope i remembered the name right) but Paper Trail had me snickering.

Poor Shinichi, that gave him a taste of what Kaito could have been like had he actually decided to be a REAL criminal...he would have been VERY dangerous :)

I loved the part with Kaito nipping Shinichi's ear when he was being ignored. Poor Shinichi but at least he's been warned not to ignore his boyfriend :)

Yeah. Kaito and Shinichi would be two criminals you would not want to cross paths with. At all. They're scary. I think it's sweet that Kaito did that because Shinichi was bored, but he totally took it too far judging from everyone's reactions.

aww! you wrote a valentines day special! I liked it! kaito creeping out everyone was pretty funny.

At first, I was giggling. Then, everyone in the story started getting disturbed by it and I found myself slightly worried as well. I can imagine any of the boys being extremely good at committing murders if they set their mind to it, which is why this would be exceedingly creepy if it happened.

I love Heiji's reaction to the whole thing though. It was rather amusing, even if that slightly disturbed feeling wouldn't leave until the end of the story.
