Wonderful. Haymitch's life, his personality, his struggles, all wreathed together beautifully. Love his views on the people surrounding him, and the ending is fitting. Great work, I feel so lucky to have found this!

First of all: I will love you forever for writing a story about Haymitch. I think you really nailed his character.

I also liked the way you connected the different fragments via the "Stay alive" quote; that was very clever and seemed fitting.

And the whole conflict about dying physically and dying inside was great; it emphasizes that there's no way to actually win the Games...

The last part with Katniss snarling at Haymitch is my favourite because it shows that both of them still have a spark of fighting spirit in them, despite everything. An ending filled with hope :)
