Good ending. That's all I can say. I'm not entirely sure what you could add to this, but I'm sure you could come up with something good. I wouldn't call this "chaotic babble", it's just the canon being turned inside out, just as you said at the beginning!

I'd say (from my perspective) that the speech that Kovu gave in Chapter 18 was definitely one of the highlights of the story, but I'd also say that the departures of some of the other characters, whether it be through choice or not, were also very well written. Sure, such events are sad, but they're a necessity in the growth of character, both in fiction and reality.

...I'm rambling, aren't I?

But really, good job. I know you said you'll be taking a break for awhile, but rest assured, I'm sure whatever you decide to write next will be just as outlandish - and just as fun.

Menopause? Isn't she a bit too young for that? LOL. I think you're thinking about PMS...

Menopause... Easily one of the best explanations for adult lioness actions I've ever heard (seriously, they're crazy when they're angry!)! Aside from that, I find Simba's thought process particularly interesting as well. Begrudging behavior never ceases to amaze me...

Poor Fisi, Kovu giving him a job like that! Simba get over it, Scar is gone, Kovu is king so get it though your thick head that things are going to get better (I hope)! Good for you Nala for knocking some sence into Simba, wich is not the easyest thing to do!

This is very good! I love how you twisted everything around. Though I didn't give up writing for Lent, myself- I'm Catholic, too, by the way. All in all, I simply adore this story.
