I almost pity ron. Almost.

I just found this and read it. This story was beautiful and touching. You made it a slow burn which made sense with the traumas that happened in their pasts and gave us a happy ending for the family. I loved it!

Oh, I'm so incredibly happy to have stumbled upon this piece. The storytelling and the ambientation it's simply marvelous; made me believe I was actually with the characters living side by side their struggles, pain and also joys. Excellent work!, a new follower here.

First of all, I absolutely adored this story. It was a wonderful read, and I wouldn't have stuck it out for such length if I didn't fully mean that!

I do want to point out some major discrepancies (and I apologize profusely if these have already been addressed in the comments), in the event that you should ever decide to re-edit and cross-post this to another site. Also, I recognize that this was a joint effort in the beginning, and some of the issues may be due to this. It really seems, though, that what was written in one chapter has been totally forgotten by later chapters.

Examples:
Early on, it's stated that Harry took a wand oath not to reveal the contents of Severus' memories; later, it's clearly stated that he shared them with Hermione.

Also early on, Harry's twins' middle names are given as Lorcan and Lysander, and then later, Severus clearly addresses Remus as Remus Sirius.

At one point it's stated that spring is on the horizon, with new grass poking up, and then in the next chapter (and subsequent chapters, all taking place on the same day), it goes into detail about how it's fall and winter is coming.

When Lucius first goes to Grimmauld Place, there's a whole discourse on his discomfort, and memories of his request to court Narcissa come to the forefront-only, Grimmauld Place wasn't Narcissa's home, it was Sirius Black's-they were cousins. Walburga Black was not Narcissa's mother, she was Sirius' mum.

Severus proposes to Hermione in Vienna, and then in the next chapter, it's a year later, and there's no mention of the proposal, and then he proposes AGAIN.

Rose sits on the stairs and listens to S and H discuss how she has magic, even as a Squib, and she is all chuffed because now she knows something that no one else does-that she has magic! Then later, in Vienna, after Dalrousch approaches them, when Severus and Hermione tell her about it, she is awestruck and flabbergasted and it's presented as if she's getting this information for the first time when it's already been established that she is aware she has a magical core.

Fairly early on, Hermione and Severus are both (independently) considering the idea of a (shared) child of their own, and from Hermione's POV, no obstacles are presented. It's treated as a completely legitimate idea in her mind. And then suddenly, in the penultimate chapter, when she finds out she's pregnant, she's tossing out this "remember how I said they told me I could never carry another child?" story, and this is the first we've heard of it.

The black wax-bottomed potions phials were never addressed (and I admit to being super intrigued by what they might represent!).

NONE of the things above affects the story in such a way as to make it less enjoyable other than the fact that they present unwelcome distractions to the reader (ex: "Wait, what? They just said a couple of chapters ago that..."). It's an awesome story and I loved it. These were just the issues that threw me off, and that's off the top of my head-I think there are others, but you get the gist. If you ever do cross post on another site, you may want to give it a thorough read-through first and edit as you see fit.

this is essentially one of those Mills&Boons type "battered woman with child meets dark damaged warrior type then falls in love" stories, just replaced with Hogwarts characters. Still, a fun read!
