Only partially related to the story, more related to this thought process. I don’t understand people who say being ignored is worse than being abused. By friends? It makes a little sense. By parents? Nope. Being ignored hurts and the hollow feeling you have, whilst simultaneously feeling like you’re being stabbed in the chest is almost unbearable. I’ve never been abused, but just the thought of how I’d feel if I had been makes me sick. It’d take empty and painful over helpless any day.

I love stories in which Harry is partnered with Flora and Hestia, because it makes for
much more interesting fiction, and shows what Harry Potter would have been like if he
hadn't let Hagrid and Ron influence him.

I've been binge reading a lot of HP stories these last few days and I gotta say, just from the first chapter you're leagues better than a lot of other authors. I'm genuinely interested in where you'll take this.
