hi there, I was just reading through Chapter 5 and I know it's too late to change it but I used to be an EMT and the thing with Robin being stabbed in the leg and hitting an artery:
1) There is no artery in the leg, there is one in the thigh but you said he was stabbed in the leg
2) How did Robin get the blade in hand isn't his hands tied behind his back? Would the blade have been stabbed in the front of his leg?
3) Where was he stabbed in the leg because it sounds like Joker was standing in front of Robin in which case he would have been stabbed in the front of the leg and his shin bone would have stopped the blade it is one of the strongest bones in the body.
4) Arterial blood is differently colored. Normal blood is red arterial blood is dark dark dark it almost looks like dark red chocolate.
5) If an artery was hit Robin would have bled out in seconds, less than a minute anyways. Especially if you are intending that the thigh artery was hit it is one of the biggest arteries and pumps a LOT of blood at a high pressure rate because it is pumping blood upwards working against the current to the heart.
6) Most importantly and this sounds a little gross, when stabbed never EVER remove the blade. It is one of the first things we are taught as an EMT and it is something I teach in self defense classes etc. It is called the "tampon effect" ok when you are stabbed the blade or whatever you are stabbed with is holding the blood in. Remove that blade and now there is a giant hole for the blood to pump through. It is kind of like a tampon, hence why they called it the "tampon effect"

I know it is too late to change anything but I thought you might want to know in case of writing anything like this in the future.
