Sookie Stackhouse? What's a Sookie? That's a Sookie! All the unintentional Gilmore girls callbacks!

I saw Supernatural, and thought it was as in Supernatural the TV show... with the one dude from Gilmore Girls in it... Then I started reading... Good beginning.

Ugh! All the way through the story and this Sookie never became likable and, like so very many other versions of this character, showed not even the tiniest bit of evidence she recognizes what a sense of humor is, much less having one. It’s disappointing how many Sookies, including this one, leave me wondering what the Eric characters see in their versions of Sookie.

Foreknowledge from SVM aside, it’s awfully foolish for Sookie not to have made any serious effort to read Hugo’s thoughts. I’d expect she would want to know as much as possible about the person she was risking her safety with.

Self-deluding hypocrite! Why wouldn’t she want to go out on a non-date why a friend by first making sure she was showing off her tits with a revealing neckline. It’s a particularly ‘innocent’ detail given that she’s headed out with a werewolf who had already hit on her especially on a full moon.

Yes, back to questioning Sookie’s “professionalism,” what the hell is professional about telling Sam anything about Eric’s business? She should have told Sam’s nosy ass to butt out — what she does with her time off is her business not his. She could have been discreet by telling Sam that she was going out of town instead of stupidly telling him where & what exactly Eric’s reasons she was going. Stupid twit.

YUUUUUUUUCCK! And mean too! Ya say in your note that Sam is finally out of the picture as a romantic interest and gave me hope, then immediately dashed that hope by having her wave temptation under Alcide’s nose. He’s as much an asshole as Sam, if you’re following SVM character traits. Just gross!

And frankly, considering some of the less than professional stuff this Sookie has so far, Eric’s well with in reason to issue the “professional” reminder to her.

I find myself wondering if I’ll like this Sookie at all, even (hopefully) things get on track with Eric. Her like ability factor isn’t looking very promising and this chapter is halfway through the number of chapters.

Well, I find far too many Sookies unbearable, but at least this one isn’t dimwit. She has the same apparent inability to pick a man & not behave like she’s indiscriminately distracted by every ‘shiny’ thing/male that comes into view, much like CH’s original version.

She tells herself she shouldn’t date her boss but goes out with him anyway & makes out with him then puts up with him grabbing her, pawing her, insulting her, and behaving possessively. She’s settled into mild flirting with Eric, but seems to be still treating him like a monster instead of someone showing her a pretty fair amount of respect. In her turn, she’s showing very little respect for him, just mild fear which is not respect. Then the icing on the cake of her insults to Eric, she flirts with Alcide right in front of Eric even though she knows Eric is interested in her. That’s some serious tackiness. Her behavior is much less Ladylike and much more Tramplike, and not at all professional or businesslike behavior.

I hope the story starts moving in more of an E/S direction soon. If I wanted to read about a Sookie who annoys & disgusts me in these ways, I’d re-read SVM instead of FF.
