You know what? When I started reading this story, I was very sceptical... Im always when it comes to bigger changes in a well known universe and the fact you had to make a "talk" between the characters that is very delicate made me even more so. But as Im at the moment into a BatB fever, I decidet to give it a try.
And you know what else? I was left speachless and positively suprised after finishing this smal master piece. Gwen is a very likeble young girl, her siblings are too and Belle and Aleyander (I have no problem with that name) are great done as well. The "talk" and the truth about Gwen was done really great and actually believible... The moment when Alexander turns angry when Gwen says he is not her "father" was a great touch too. Oh, and the Enchantres at the end, omg, great idea.
See, now I need to read Kissed By A Rose :)

I really love this story along with Kissed by a Rose. You write so well and your stories are always interesting. One thing I wonder about, though, is why you chose to have Belle and Alexander have a boy, too, so Gwen doesn't inherit the throne?

I loved the original story and this is just as good. Any chance you would do anpther oneshot from gwens point of view? You could do her first time courting someone and have alexsander be protective or something funny like that.

What a splendid way to fix all the loose ends in your main story "Kissed By A Rose." I imagine as a writer it isn't easy to return to a story after a long absence, and the conundrum you originally put forward is a very delicate matter to discuss. I'm glad the resolution isn't too fluffy or too far-fetched. Well done!

P.S. Your choice of name for Geoff is an interesting coincidence, since some of the first stories of King Arthur that involved Merlin were written by a man called Geoffrey of Monmouth!

I really like this and totally agree with you about the "real" father thing. Just because a person is not someone's parent by blood does not mean they cannot be their parent by deed.

I really enjoyed this one-shot; it truly is beautifully told.

Since reading this, I have started Kissed by A Rose as well as read all companion pieces. You have a great writing style that it truly engaging.
