I think Link wants to help Ghirihim because they have so much in common.

Ghirahim was a tool used by Demise, just as Link was used by Hylia/Zelda.

Now, with Demise gone, Ghirahim has no purpose.
Neither does Link- the world has no more use for a hero, his job is done. What more is there for him but to fade into the background?

But with Ghirahim to save, Link has a purpose.

If Ghirahim had gratitude crystals like batreux, he wouldn't be driven by the urge to serve a master- he could truly have free will.
Then he and Link can be useless together.

I like the idea behind both of them, the ideas the same even if the execution of it isn't

The rewrite is very different. I can see why you didn't just replace it. I like both of them

Also, while on many occasions, I ship Ghiralink like it's nobody's business, I feel that I, personally, would love just a strong friendship bond between them. I feel it's refreshing as I've read many Ghiralink fics like this, but I feel they always went straight to the romance, and skipped the friendship part. With what Ghirahim's been through, there's no doubt in my min that he would, realistically, be very reluctant to trust, much less form a bond. So I guess what I'm saying is it's perfectly okay to make this a romance, but at least build up a good friendship bond first. These are just suggestions, thanks for reading~ :3

I actually cried wth? This is really sad because this seemed to have been a case of Stockholm syndrome, as abuse victims tend to become extremely dependent on their abusers. I can only hope Link helps Ghirahim. I also feel really bad with the whole Fi and Ghirahim thing...

And yes Spirit, what that other reveiwer had said about Fi's Gratitude, yes it is when Fi is drawn back into the Master Sword at the end of the game. Which, by the way, is very sad. And yes, I did find Mihra to be a very interesting villain. Or demon. A Temtation Demon. But I was very sad at the end of the story. Link found himself alone again. But all in all, it was a great story.
