All was good until the end. YOU DON’T PULL OUT THE SHARD! You leave it in because that’s only thing stoping you from bleeding out. With the shard in there, you just got something where it’s not supposed to be. It’s stopping the bleeding from happening and if it punctured the lungs it’s stopping you from having a pneumothorax and ruining your breathing pattern. Without it, you have a direct entry into the wound and the lungs probably, and you can’t breathe normally and will bleed out faster. Oh ma gawd. Lol
