OMG this was so cute? Even though Ikuko was kind of a brat, she was still hilarious and it was easy to see how she got that way. Redemption stories are rarely done well, but I think you did a great job and I loved all of the fluff.

I think I first read this story in Middle school and having read a million stories since, as a college student now, I can say it's still one of my favorite stories.

This was exactly the precious fluff that my soul needed. You writing is amazing as well as your character development and I honestly think I fell in love with Kina thank you for this!

So I accidentally stumbled across this story and I am so happy I did! I think this is one of the best OC fics I've ever read, easily.

I actually loved Ikuko as a character? She was such a stuck-up brat, but I found her inner monologue hilarious and by about the third chapter I felt so bad for her, because it was clear nobody had bothered to care for this girl. (Also I have to give you props for pulling off first-person narration so flawlessly.) You really played the jerkass woobie trope perfectly, I don't think I've ever come across an OC designed to be unlikeable and yet sympathetic in that way before and it was such a great idea. And I agree, Kiba and Ikuko had really great chemistry, even right at the beginning when they couldn't stop butting heads. Yuzu was a great supporting character as well, really, everyone tied together in the story brilliantly, especially since we see very little of the genin twelve's families. The story flowed really well, I didn't stop and get impatient and wonder where it was going, which can happen with some of the less action-based stories. Also it was realistic it took her a long time to warm to Kiba, especially with her earlier prejudices again, so that was another really great touch to her character.

I admit it does leave a bit of a bad taste in my mouth that Ikuko's mother never received any punishment - it seems unfair that she heaped all this psychological abuse on her daughter and yet there were no ghosts waiting to dish out any payback on HER. And I also feel like Ikuko actually thanking grandma ghost was a bit much, I mean sure, getting turned into a dog turned out to be good for her in the end, but it could have gone so badly wrong - I legitimately thought she was going to try throwing herself in the river at some point, so I don't feel like ghost grandma deserved any thanks. But maybe I'm just not the forgiving type. XD (Also a minor nitpick, but a couple of times in the early chapters the story jumped forward in time and I got a bit confused, maybe some scene dividers would make the timeskips a bit clearer.)

Anyway, I polished off this story in about a day, so I guess my only option now is to check out your gallery and see if you've written any more OC-fics, because I'm sure they'll be amazing if you have!
