RedWingedAngel002 chapter 1 . 11/18/2017 Oh man, this is so lovely (and sad)! I love that you have the small scene extended in time, and really capture the differences in Thor's perspective with your poetic writing. Lovely work! |

arlene56 chapter 1 . 4/1/2015 I really liked this. I always thought that three days was too short; it would be hard to make a lasting change as a result of it. This is a very interesting idea, and you executed it very well. Thank you! |

adlyb chapter 1 . 11/19/2013 Not sure if I've reviewed this yet, but sending a second note to tell you how much I enjoy this fic never hurts. It's a rare thing in this fandom to grasp Thor's thoughts, to be able to write him with incite, poetry, and the weight of his yearning that you've given him here. Thank you for writing such a stark, lovely little fic. |
ninepen chapter 1 . 9/8/2013 So glad I came across this. Thor so often gets lost amid fandom's love of Loki, but Thor is a really interesting character, too, and I'm glad you explored him here. This all seems absolutely believable to me, if movie events didn't happen and Thor was left on Earth. And it's so short but you follow everything so well, even with SHIELD and so forth moving on, no one "caring" anymore about who he is or what happened here. I loved the description from Thor's POV of what Earth is like, there in the beginning, how Asgard is so much better. Construction certainly seems apt for Thor, and that he would like using his muscles like that, and seeing something come of his labor. The fight also makes total sense, and that nope, we don't get to have "glorious fights" here...without consequences. I liked that you included "unworthy" in that he apologized to the "unworthy man," because it drives home how utterly humiliatating - and humbling - this really would be for Thor. I can totally see Thor playing with the kids as you described, it paints such a happy and exuberant picture. And then it's lovely to see how Thor sees Earth now, as something beautiful and valuable in its own right, with its own pleasures and satisfactions. Oh, ouch and the ring in the pocket and the progression of "is he in love?", when it comes to an end. And I love how you ultimately kind of tied this "ending" to the "ending" in the movie, them making breakfast, and Jane dropping the coffee mug/plate. Sad and very effective ending of course, I don't have nicer words to say it in than you already have here. Ultimately I do think there's is kind of a tragic relationship that reality would not be kind to. Very nicely done! |
