Oh my. That was really something. You managed to make it very believable, and very consistent with their characters and their world, yet it was so much darker than the canon series.
It makes me curious to see more stories set in this 'verse, and also other ways it could have gone if Niko didn't rescue them, although frankly, now that I've read this, any scenario I come up with will seem unlikely. Even canon seems a bit unlikely compared to this. This story has a much grittier, real feel to it.
I also liked the way you tied in various quotes from the series and other sources (I wasn't expecting that). I feel like they added a whole other layer in this story.
Thank you for writing such a great fanfiction for one of my favorite series, I really enjoyed reading it.

I think this is the first time that I would use "creepy" as a high compliment. This is the kind of story that leaves readers feeling uncomfortable because you didn't flinch away from all the bad that would happen if each one was left without the others. Each alternative was all too believable. Very well put together!

Darling. This is exquisite, truly beautiful. I love your interpretation of where they could have ended up, had just a few choices been made differently. I love the darkness to it, both figurative and literal. It's just a wonderfully written piece of work.
