While i loved this and the language part was hallarious... i seriously think Al would be able to speak many languages fluently due to the fact of all the imigrants and the language/culture they bring with them...

I love the interactions between the two. You should write more like it.

Ahh, that was fun to read. I've been reading your other fics ever since I finished reading Never Your Hero's most recent update, and it's nice to find another platonic story in your profile (I'm not a USUK person, doesn't mean I still can't enjoy your other stories though). I love Hetalia stories related to actual historical events (I have several in mind at the moment, some centered around the revolution, several about Cyprus, some about Greece and so forth, haven't had the time to write them though), and this was just great. I'm not a fan of the theory that during the civil war a female America was formed, so I was pleased to see the good ol' version of Alfred losing his mind in yours. Love your Canada, by the way, though I think his dialogue is a bit stiff compared to canon. (Then again, this was 1873, he might have still be talking in an overly formal matter back then).

Your description of the dessert Alfred was making was very good. I don't like peaches myself, but the dessert as a whole was described so tantalizingly it makes me want to read-I mean, eat it. Whoops.

I take French, and Alfred's "John maple Pierre" was hysterical.

Now I'm wondering if I reviewed "Never Your Hero." Thought I did, I'll have to check later. It's late where I am.

I love the part, 'Holy Christ! Imagine if I'd have gone back to my Boss and had to explain murder by bad French in a Canadian kitchen; I'd have caused an international incident! Lovely fanfic! I am so glad I wasn't drinking something when I was reading the part where Alfred was attempting to speak French. SO hilarious. Though I don't quite get the Pierre part... And finally someone recognizes Alfred has some cooking skills beyond making vividly colored cakes! Love the brotherly bonding too.

this story was beautifully written, i love how you portray the characters, especially canada. and it had bits of very comedy that had me giggling like an idiot.

I wanna start off by saying I really love how you write Matthew, especially in this fic. You make him still quiet and polite, like always, but also passionate and strong and caring.

I love the way the brothers iteracted and it was nice how at the begining everything was all serious and angsty and near the end I actually laughed out loud a couple times "Oh my god, my French killed him!"

As always, I absolutely adore your descriptions and your style of writting and I think this was awonderful fic!
