WHERE IS THE REST OF THE STORY?!

Pretty much the entire time I read this latest chapter, I was going "oooooohhh." See, this is why I keep coming back to this story. You might keep restarting it (hahaha), but you're telling a really, really interesting story here. The idea of a far-into-the-future Alagaesia? YES PLEASE. And while I liked the old story…An Eragon that has been forgotten by time, with Brom being credited for his victory? THANK YOU.

You never know what you need until someone gives it to you.

By the way, the entire idea of Brom being credited for it is pretty great, as it's not a four hundred year timeskip from the original series if it doesn't have historical inaccuracies about the main characters. :)

As for constructive criticism…

1- There's a lot of awkward grammar and sentence construction. The plot is great, but it doesn't read as smoothly as it could, and some of the inserted exposition is done roughly. Ex: When you introduce the info that Elva is the head of Du Gata Vrangar, you say, "What does the head of Du Gata Vrangar have to do with anything?" People…don't really speak like that. It would probably be better just to have one of the characters note in their head the fact. Like, "Meredith couldn't believe it. Was that really Elva, head of the Du Gata Vrangar, in the fairth?"

2- A lot of the dialogue is also kind of confusing or rough. Once again, it isn't bad, and it gets the meaning across. It just could be better.

No story critics, though…you're just getting the plot rolling, and I am soooo interested in where things are going. Thanks for writing!

Interesting, look forward to whatever chaos you have planned (if you continue to update this. Quite a large gap between this and the previous update... :S). :)

(Though considering what Arya said to Eragon at the end of Inheritance, her stating she didn't love Eragon so definitively is a bit controversial/paradoxical... considering she said to Eragon in the future they would have a chance to be together. I would've made a her bit more confused/ponderous over the matter, before placing it in the back of head and focusing on her regal duties etc).

Also, is Eragon no longer Chief Rider? :/ Is he dead or has he just passed on the torch, deciding it a good idea to not just continually hold the title himself?

As the alert for this pops up in my email in-box, I'm curious- I've mostly lost interest in the Eragon fandom and haven't really browed the IC fanfiction section for a year or so, and of the fanfics I was reading that were still updated, I had already unfollowed them. Thus, it was really confusing to see that the fanfic was only updating its second chapter. Out of curiosity, I clicked the link, expecting to see an author going "whoops, sorry, this won't be completed after all."

To my surprise, I instead see a new update for a fic first posted in 2012.

And what a fic!

The first chapter is a little overwrought for my tastes, but you've obviously improved a lot since you posted it. Non-romance continuation fics are already rare, and a war-focused far future fic like this one is basically a wet dream for me. I'm incredibly curious about where this is heading, and if you need a prereader, feel free to PM me :)

I love this story already. Your Angela was the highlight of the chapter.
