I looooove this scene. I have been following this story and its continuation for years. Charlie is The Man. The symbolism of the comforter is excellent.

I really love this Charlie. I love the one from the books too, but I can't believe how inactive he was with the whole zombie Bella thing

Although I'm not a big fan of the whole "I'm a mess because Edward left me" Bella, I'm enjoying where this is going, so let's see

That absolute bastard. He left her with blankets infused with his smell and she Never. Got. Better. Vera spent her entire life wrapped up in his scent and it never let her go. She was miserable and lonely and never found happiness, and that is exactly how Bella would have ended is she hadn’t gotten vomit all over her own comforter and burned it.

Liking a dumb character all boils down to whether their dumb is cute or a handicap for the story and all other characters there in. Characters who are a bit thick about some (or many) things can be endearing in their slowness if it’s either A) played for laughs or B) expanded upon/developed.

Bella’s slowness is obviously being developed. At a snail’s pace, sure, but it’s happening. And her occasional cluelessness is what draws the most laughs from me in there chapters.

Wow, this chapter was so layered with symbolism, it’s almost a cake. Love the allusion to that lingering Edward smell making her worse because she wrapped herself in sheets he laid on for a year. I’m loving this fic more and more.

I absolutely loved this chapter and Charlie’s singing and Bella’s reaction to it. It was a lot of fun. It’s so clear that these people have been friends for basically their entire lives. I love it!

OK so probably my new favourite thing in the world. At least for the time being; these things change quite often. But for now it’s definitely my favourite. And I mean, man, literally everything reminds her of Edward, even a stupid poster of some stupid trees. and she just goes on and on and on about Jane and Mr. Whatshisname. It made me laugh like an idiot. As did Quil. Quil made me laugh so hard that my mom came in to check that I wasn’t crying. Suffice to say I’m hooked on the story and will definitely be finishing the whole thing in just a couple days. Thank you so much for posting it and I’ll try to leave a review on as many chapters as I can remember.
