I know this is an old fic, but I found this in my saved folder and am reading through it. This chapter is a little weird, considering Arthur has a LOVE spell put on him, not a LUST spell. He has sex with Merlin, then realised that maybe he forced Merlin into it, then later he acts as though it never happened and wants Merlin again without asking him about his feelings beforehand. Not to say this isn’t a good fic, I am just not sure what mindset Arthur is in right now, where he is under a spell ok so he’s not thinking clearly, if it’s love not lust, he should have Merlin’s feelings in mind and can tell when he’s hurt. Yet he disregards this when Merlin has barely recovered and wants to jump his bones again without thinking ‘Merlin’s injured because he ran away from me because we had sex, I should make sure I’m not about to hurt or rape him and he actually loves me’...
And I get Merlin is confused and kinda feels good when he’s with Arthur yet knows it’s wrong, but can’t use magic in front of him or he risks getting caught. But he can put Arthur to sleep, or he can argue a bit more that what Arthur is doing is wrong. He cries after he and Arthur are together because it’s the love spell controlling Arthur, but Merlin has free will and putting up more of a fight in the physicians chambers would get Arthur to stop IF this spell wasn’t about turning him into some kind of rapey inconsiderate mess.
I will continue to read to the end, as like I said this is an old fic, but if you’re still writing, just to add an opinion about what characters are supposed to feel during certain scenes would be good for the reader.

Every time I think of Merthur, I think of this story. It's May favorite and most remembered out of every fanfic I've ever read. Though I don't watch Merlin anymore, I always come back here to relive the Merthur ship. Keep doing what you're doing! Because if your other works are anything like this one, then I guess I should be reading those too, huh? :)
