I’ve just found your story and binged it all. I am so in love with it. I know it’s a long shot but I really hope that you decide to write more, it is really a beautiful story!

I always come back to this story and each time is still better than the last time. Must be my 5th time reading it at least. Needless to say you've done a wonderful job creating Sydney and her world. Her relationship with her father is beautiful and I can't help but feel it will be her father who will succeed in volunteering in the end. As sad as it would be, from what I gathered he has no chance to survive except if Sydney wins the game and has access to the Capitol's medicine I guess.
Also I love the dynamic between Sydney (her father too) and the Hawthorne. Or more generally the feeling of solidarity between the people from the Seam that was shown when Sydney's mother died but also all the moments between the miners.
One last thing is her relationship with Gale ! Beautiful, just beautiful.
I am really looking forward to reading more of their adventures, as heartbreaking as they can be.

Holy SHIT I just knew Bristel wasn't gonna make it out at some point but this was still a thousand times more devastating than I ever could have imagined! Congrats, you earned some actual honest to god tears from me this chapter! Which is historically, not an easy feat D:

This is a really neat concept, I'm curious how it will develop! I do have one nitpick though: this line, "Unsure of his intent, I bate my breath for what will surely be some antifeminist remark about not returning tomorrow" followed by "You're better than those girls who sell themselves to Cray or the scum behind the Hob" is... incredibly ironic, to be honest, because that in itself is an anti feminist statement. Part of feminism is accepting and embracing sexual liberty - the freedom to CHOOSE when, who, where, and WHY you have sex. It's not just "ra ra, girl power" and kicking ass... the girls and women going to Cray deserve just as much respect as any who entered the mines - both are doing what they have to do for their families, it just takes a different form. There are plenty of sex workers in real life who do so to provide for their families, and there are also plenty who do it because they want to - both deserve just as much respect as a virginal woman. Feminism means supporting women and their freedom to choose different paths in life, even if it's not one you yourself would ever take. :)

This is absolutely amazing. Your take on the hunger games is so unique and different and I absolutely love how you've made the plot your own. Sidney is an amazing protagonist, strong and fiery and determined to protect those she loves. The way you've incorporated her into this book is so unique and amazing and I love how you let the feelings between her and gale develop. Her past is told in such a thorough manner and I love your writing. This truly is an amazing and unique fanfic, and you truly are an amazing writer. Although it's unlikely you'll update or get this message, I really hope that one day you decide to come back to this and finish gale and Sidney's story, because it really is a special one :)
