Hello again. I'm going formally apologize for my actions. They were rude and uncalled for. I know that it is unfair to criticize so strongly a story that is written by a child and I can’t express just how guilty I feel right now. I hope you don’t lose interest in writing because of my review. I apologize if I hurt you, it was not my intention. I just happen to be a hardcore HarryxRon shipper and my opinions, as strong as they are, sometimes come out in ways that are not effective, and for that I am truly sorry.

Ok, first I just want to make one thing clear. This is not, in any way, shape, or form, a flame. It is merely some constructive criticism that I have to offer to a story that I think has potential but desperately needs help. I would also like to point out that I am a huge fan of Harry/Ron ship myself. It has always been my OTP. :) So, now that that's been cleared up...

I ended up reading your fic because this story has been analyzed in Sexalised Saturdays. And after reading this, I unfortunately have to agree with them. Your story is just bashing both Ginny and Hermione for no reason than making it ridiculously clear to your readers that they are both selfish, immoral bitches who dont deserve boys who are as amazing as Harry and Ron.

Have you ever even read the books or watched the movies? Ginny and Hermione are not like this at all, they are both awesome characters. Do you seriously believe that Ginny, who always defends her friends no matter what would suddendly act like some homophobic idiot who does something like this:

“Oh shut up you fucking faggot,” Ginny growled, “and get the fuck out of my house.”

If this thing had ever happened in the canon, I think that Ginny would be confused and hurt first (and she has every right to be. No matter who you are, it would be really difficult for anyone to accept that your husband is a gay) but she would talk about it with Harry and try to understand how he feels and thinks. Ginny would carefully think how she should approach the situation without making things worse. I have always loved Harry/Ron, but in the books Harry and Ginny were a good couple because they RESPECTED each other. After Harry left her in the 6th book, Ginny respected his decision and was not acting like some hysterical fangirl that some fans claim her to be.

When you wrote this, you should have humanized Hermione and Ginny instead of making them OOC. In that way this story would have been a really intriguing reading experiement, because the premise is quite interesting. Now its obvious that you made them both mean and shallow, evil-stereotype girlcharacters in yaoi stories who are meant to seem less worthy of Rons/Harrys love than Harry/Ron. In this story Hermione and Ginny are not even real characters, they are just used as plot devices that exists to make the boys look good. I would have liked to learn more about where Hermione and Ginny are coming from because usually Evil Girlfriend trope is just doing an awesome job of eliciting empathy for the other characters (Harry&Ron) despite their flaws and wrongdoings. Now both Hermione and Ginny are just unlikable, boring pieces of cardboard who are inferior to intelligent, kind-hearted and comparatively virtuous Harry and Ron.

And you try to make us feel bed for Harry and Ron, and the narrative is heavily suggesting that they are the victims of the situation. But if you read this story critically, you can notice that thats not true at all. For example, did Ron really embarrassed and humiliated Hermione during their freaking engagement party? Seriously, who does that? Thats not justice, that is something what only an asshole would do. It was the most disgusting part of your story, and it doesnt make any justice to Ron or Hermiones characters.

After I read this, it now feels like the ONLY reason why Harry and Ron would ever end up together is just because their wives are horrible people. Speaking as a big fan of this pairing, This kind of portrayal of Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny makes me really sad. I do not like it that you are childlishly bashing and villainizing girl characters like Hermione and Ginny just because they stand in the way of your OTP. I want to read Harry/Ron stories without this stupid dehumanization of the girl characters. Surely we Harry/Ron shippers are better than that right?

I know that you are most likely a lovely person (and most likely a female as well) who just didnt notice all these disturbing, misogynist elements in your story because of your love for this pairing. I would just suggest that you will google "Sexualized Saturdays: Girl-Bashing in Yaoi Fics" and read what is said there about your story. I think that authors (especially those who are writing about my OTP) should be self-aware of their writings so that they can learn from their mistakes and improve in the future.
