Finished all 48 chapters. This story had me rooting, and if not for the inconclusive, abrupt end I may be reading this non stop for days. Excellent read!
I'll be honest. I never watched ZnT; I came here for Napoleon Bonaparte. And I am not disappointed.
I see a strong and rational character, with cunning and devious tactical genius. The fact that he stands out as he is, considering how spineless and pathetic the familiar Saito Hiraga is in the original anime. It is quite entertaining.
How Napoleon asserts his dominance and fires back daring quips against literally anyone who dares challenge him is enough to warrant him award for Most SAVAGE characters in anime history. Really would like a ZnT: Napoleon arc.
The man straight up shoves the typical anime-stereotype antics up their faces, seen with his interactions.
"Excuse me?" "Shame if i would have to execute her someday.." and of course, "I AM NAPOLEON BONAPARTE, EMPEROR OF THE FRENCH, KING OF ITALY et cetera, et cetera..."

What a masterpiece. This may be dead, but nothing wrong to hope. Even more, hoping for an actual anime adaptation.

Nah he's alive alright. He is pretty active on SpaceBattles forum, you can find this fic also there. He talked about rewriting it in 2014 but I think he didn't do anything and just abandoned it in the end. There wasn't any update since then.

This is the very moment when I am sold on this.

I've throughly enjoyed this history. It is quite shameful that it probably won't be completed, but nonetheless it definetely deserves praise. All of the chapters felt well thought and planned, and the characters well developed, and I specially enjoyed the handling of Karin.

while other story focus more on relationship between Louise and her familiar (and pairing). this focus not just interaction between Louise and Napoleon, not just people around her, but the world as well. it's really a shame if the story died.

If to judge by the lack of chapters since 2014, I think I can safely say this author is dead
