This was a perfect ending to a wonderful story. I particularly enjoyed Rodney's conversation with Weir about how clever John is. Her follow up conversation with John about letting him do his job is perfect, too. I loved this story! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

Teyla stood, braced against him, holding him upright as he worked.

-I love this image of John being stubborn and continuing to work, with Teyla supporting him, exasperated though she is. I also love John showing his tech skills here.

"The Major has a really, really bad headache. Could you girls argue somewhere else?"

-I love it when everyone thinks John's unconscious and then he answers them :)

John just closed his eyes and whispered softly, muttering to himself nose to muzzle with the brute.

-This scene of John stepping *toward* the dragon, getting bit, and slapping a bloody hand against it in another desperate attempt to communicate? This is one of my favorite scenes in all of your stories. It's just a great image.

Not looking good here...

This story was recced to me... oh, almost a month ago... on sgagenrefinders (LJ). I hope I'll find a moment to give you a more detailed review, because the story is so worth appreciation, but I can't just leave it completely un-reviewed while I wait for a moment of uninterrupted time.

I really enjoyed your story, I could 'hear' the character voices in you dialogue and I especially liked the idea of dragons in Atlantis, lol.

It was good to see an early story where John and Elizabeth were still trying to find their feet around each other, before the easy going relationship was properly established.

Great first chapter! Love your stories! And I totally sympathize with Elizabeth.

I remember seeing this when it came up, being too busy at the moment, then losing track of it. Finally found it again, and, Wow, what a story! Original plot - I can see Ancient biologists gleefully experimenting with the semi-telepathic little dragons - and a really deep look at the Weir-Sheppard personal dynamic. Plus a good look at the development of the team relationships. Really, really enjoyed it; thank you very much!

This wasan excelent story. Not because of the action tho thatwas good. But, because of the trust that was established between John & Elizabeth. You gave is the story behind that trust. Well done!

This was a great story, but that conclusion about trust was just fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed how the events at the end of "Hot Zone" led to Elizabeth and John's conversation about trust here. It makes sense that she would have to see him in action to truly understand. And then tying it in with "Siege" really made a huge impact!
