Oooh, a twist in Rumplestilskin couldn't get any better than the protagonist not being able to have children. But I love how this story is unconventional in so many ways. The Prince is a little boy. She gets married to someone who doesn't become ruler (why after all is becoming ruler or being married to the ruler necessary for happily ever after). And there is no magic cure to her not being able to have children, and it's something that she has to accept and live with. The only small nitpick here is that I wish Ellis and Gilo had a little more chemistry. But it was really a great story!

A fairytale ending without most of the schmaltz. Good wrap up. I'm glad everyone got what they wanted by the matter of things falling into place at the right time

Oohh, how lovely. What a nice note to end on.

"The ceremony was too elaborate for Gilo's taste and too simple for the king's" - I laughed at that! What a great way to touch on the king, his personality, and he and Gilo's relationship, all in one sentence.

I enjoyed this version of Rumplestilktskin very much. You really fleshed it out and gave it character and background. I'm not sure I understand why Olin became king if Gilo was the firstborn, but it's probably just as well, since Olin is able to produce an heir. I would love to see Gilo and Ellis adopt some children-they have so much love to give!

Somehow as stories end I find myself writing less and less comprehensibly and more things like "ooh" and "write more" and other such unhelpful things. Suffice it to say, the reunion and understanding regained was all I hoped it would be and even more.

I liked this part: "All morning, I couldn't seem to breathe properly. I kept looking out the window though I knew all I would see was snow. I did not even care anymore that Rianne probably thought I was acting ridiculous.
There was a horse's whinny.
There were voices outside.
Olin's voice. Servants' voices. Gilo's voice."
Oh, I think everyone knows how she felt from that. Excited, nervous, afraid, terrified...lovely writing, m'dear :)

Yay! They're going to marry now. I'm kind of cursious about how much of their trip you'll talk about. But honestly, it will be a good ending either way.

TODAY? Yay! I like the letters part of the story. Writing letters is a marvelous and sadly fading part of the world. Eagerly awaiting more!

I don't know but if I were in Ellis' place I would not forget the kiss or make light of it so easily. But of course that is how it always is; we, the readers, know exactly when someone is a traitor, or there is a murderer in the closet, or when one person really loves the other and both are aching needlessly. So I really oughtn't tut-tut at Ellis; I'm not her.

I really like Gilo. I like him I like him I do.
