NO! A CLIFF HANGER! Of Course Ares would stay though, he doesn't EVER run from anticipation or Fear and his love for Emma would almost kick in his battle senses and he would realize that taking care of Emma is more important now, because he must make amends if he was part of the reason she got hurt in the first place. I think it would be interesting if Emma got amnesia for a while. What would Ares do? Win her back? Or take as a chance to distance himself further from her. Perhaps you should have Emma seek advice from her patron god / goddess. Everyone in the ancient world had one god / goddess that they worshiped more than the others. Perhaps Athene, Ares and Athene have an interesting but complicated history. And of course Athene is a school goddess... PLEASE update soon!

I dislike/borderline hate (she kinda redeemed herself by agreeing to help Ares with Emma) Aphrodite but ok. I mean, this is a shitty way of helping them, but IT WORKS. And it satisfies my fangirling needs. I LOVE when one of the two people in a relationship or something is in some way hurt or something, and the other person goes and makes them feel better and provides them comfort and stuff. :3

That was actually cute. Inappropriate of him but cute. I guess it shows that he still really cares about her...? (Like, I know that he cares, but she doesn't really anymore, does she?)

I can't blame Emma for not telling her mum about this stuff. I, myself, don't really share my life with my mum, so I kinda understand where Emma's coming from with the whole judgement (from her mom) thing I guess.

A bit of a short chapter, and I have pretty mixed feelings about it. Doesn't help that I was watching Saw 5 (that horror movie) while (re-)reading this, haha xD
Umm, I like the fact that it's shown that Ares obviously cares for Emma- that he cares not just when their relationship is all fun and stuff, but also when she's upset and needs comfort and that he's willing to be there for her during her negative times as well.
I still don't like Ares TOO much. I hold my grudges well.

I mean, I liked this chapter- especially the battlefield scene (I didn't really expect you to include this kind of scene, so I was pleasantly surprised). Buuuut, Ares is just so infuriating, you know? Like, how can you even stand WRITING about him?!

To be honest, I don't feel like even I know the full answer to this question. Is it because Deimos and Phobos ship Aphrodite/Ares? Or because they hate Emma for how soft their father became because of her, and the way she affects him? I feel like there's more to it than when you first look at it, you know...?
