I think you did a splendid job- just the right handling on sensitive history combined with an interesting interpretation of the characters that remains fairly close to canon!

Whoa. That was fantastic. I even cried a little. I think my heart just died a little, but in a good way I guess. Aside from a weird feeling of excitement for a sequel but yet not wanting to see Germany be mean again, I feel this was one AMAZING fanfic.

This was so dark. but I loved it.

A part of me kept thinking that there was a slight chance that Germany was going to change back and admit his mistakes, but I knew it wasn't going to happen :/ I enjoyed that though. It's nice to read something occasionally that doesn't have a happy ending.

Now this is one story I really find entertaining and interesting. I wish there was a continuation to this though. I want to see more of dark Italy and dark Germany and a bit more of that ever-awesome Prussia if possible too.

I've never seen Italy so cold, so fragile. You could just feel him and Germany ripping up everything they stood for and throwing it aside, Italy desperate for the love he once had and the monster Germany had become simply having a problem it needed to solve. The pain of these characters is so accurate and masterfully written that I was captured by every word. The different light this one story gives may forever change my view on the basic concepts in Hetalia, and I'm actually excited to see things from different perspectives.

This is one of the best stories I've ever read and I thank your for posting it for the enjoyment of all.
