This was good! I enjoyed it. I love that there was a happy ending! The only thing that bothered me is that it was so short. I came thinking I was getting 42k words when in actuality I got maybe half that. The other half was AN. But overall it was well written and an amazing job at putting together an unlikely ship.

Well, that was a fun little read. Good explanation for how Bae would still be alive after all those years. Why, you hit the bull's eye. NL isn't actually a happy place, though. Well, good enough. Did he become Peter pan, or was he just one of the lost boys?

TLK's are o overused. Even in canon, they've become such plot devices. Oh, there's a curse? Break it with a TLK! Apparently, despite being so rare, most of the main cast has some form of True Love. Well, it's said to be that, even if we haven't seen actual TLK proof from most of them.

It actually killed him? Under the curse, the only death that was shown was Graham's. That was only because regina interfered with magic. Otherwise, he probably wouldn't have died. Rumple is still the Dark One, even though magic wasn't present. It's possible his curse might have saved him. However, he did almost die whilst poisoned by Hook outside of Storybrooke a.k.a. without magic. Well, perhaps if some other thing had been used, he might not have died. That's the dagger, though. The only thing that can kill Rumple, had they been in a land with magic. Even if it's only a normal dagger in the LWM, without the magical control, it's still sharp and deadly. Oh, it would have killed him either way, I guess.

Benjamin, hmm? That's Bae's cursed name? Works well enough. I'm surprised that was actually an element of his cursed personality. I figured that there would be no elements present that make him sympathetic. That dead (lost) son would probably qualify. I suppose the limp might also, but he usually doesn't act woefully crippled. If there were enough redeem able things, of course, someone might ah e a reason to like or even love Gold.

Taht went about as well as I expected. Honestly, I thought she would punch him. I'm surprised and slightly disappointed that she did not. Yes, he did give her Henry. However, it's been implied that at least some of those trust issues that Enma has came from her time with Henry's father. Maybe there was simply too much denial and disbelief for that idea to process.

I liked early Rumbelle, but after that, it's just painful. Maybe I was being as idealistic as canon Belle. Canon Rumbelle is just one bad thing after another. Never-ending angst for those two. They're married and having a child and still having so many problems. Quite frankly, that child should not be brought into the current environment. You know there are serious problems when a child is being used to fix a relationship.

Okay. Didn't expect that. Well, I was anticipating it because of the warning, but I didn't think that would happen sssso soon. What if someone walked in? The only other person we ever really see go into the shop in S1 isRegina. Emma is a fan of one-night stands. Now, she's either on the pill or some other contraceptive or has never had a broken condom issue that resulted in pregnancy. I wouldn't be surprised if you took the accidental pregnancy route, but they do already have a child binding them together. Emma just doesn't know it.

Ah, man. Pre-Skin Deep. This really was early in the season. Being written as it went, you guys were at something of a Gold shortage. I remember that. Skin Deep being, of course, when Rumbelle exploded. For Golden SWan, I'm sure that episode also prompted a few prison bonding fics.

Wow. Gold actually did something rash that wasn't fueled by anger. Funny, that he's helping her get custody now, whereas he refused in canon. He refused and pushed her into August's waiting arms. Well, at least that won't happen.

Honestly, this was all a bit creepy. Understandably so, since it's Gold. More creepy than usual. We knew he wasn't going to kill, torture, rape, etc. Emma, but she didn't. I'm sure it probably looked that way to her.

Concerning your fears about a lackluster chapter four, I'd say they were unwarranted. Well, with past experiences, maybe not. However, this was a fine chapter.

Awww...Just realized something. This was way back in early S1, before the ship was even called Golden Swan. Those were the days. For whatever reason, while I've been watching since the pilot, I only jumped into OUAT fanfiction this past year. Season one is still my favorite.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy Gold's pain. Maybe I wouldn't, under different circumstances. I certainly don't enjoy the Rumbelle angst. Okay, well, maybe a part of me does. The majority of me doesn't however. This, though? He deserved that. What is with him and trying to take advantage of drunk Emma? Well, she's learned since Henry's father, even if she sin't aware that she was with the man himself.

Wow. In a normal Golden Swan, Emma is not quite so blatant is her disdain and dislike. Why, there's usually even some grudging respect. This is new. This Emma of yours will need some serious work before Golden Swan happens (again). Well, that is, assuming he doesn't force her. Considering how he acted towards Belle, I doubt he'll do that. In regards to that, I've often heard something along the lines of "He might be a monster, but he isn't that sort of beast."

No, Gold wasn't being a pedo. He was just taking advantage of a drunk teen. Emma clearly doesn't recognize him upon their meeting. She doesn't remember Henry's conception that well. She apparently remembers enough to call him a bad person, however. What I want to know is how she ended up in jail shortly after.
