Reviews for Lilli
ADDAMSFAMILYTREE chapter 1 . 9/16/2016
Somehow, it'd be better if Lilli and Karl were reunited, perhaps in postwar Switzerland? Besides, Hogan deserves to wed Marya, the golden-haired Ukraine maiden.
Goldleaf83 chapter 1 . 1/8/2012
This is a terrific take on one of the most interesting women in the series. You do a great job in giving us some of her background and motivations, as well as a sense of what her life must be like, passing information but unsure if it is doing any good, getting to where it needs to go, yet risking her life each time – and betraying her husband each time as well. Your additions showing the emotional intimacy of her relationship with Karl make it clear how emotionally difficult it must be to stay with her political loyalties at the expense of her marriage. In the lunch scene, for instance, the lines that really get me are right at the beginning, when she notices her husband not eating, thinks of all the times in the past that she’s had to remind him to eat, and of how his problems are about to escalate – and partly with her help. It’s especially poignant because you make it clear that he doesn’t support Hitler, though it’s unclear how much he agrees or disagrees with Nazi ideals. Overall, this is a very nicely nuanced look at an intriguing but overlooked character!
Canadian Hogan's Fan chapter 1 . 1/3/2012
It's nice seeing this episode through Frau von Scheider's eyes. My heart breaks for her all over again. The possibilities this story opens up are certainly tantalizing. Perhaps they could be expanded on by someone in the near future.

Good job, as always.
jodm chapter 1 . 1/2/2012
An excellent addition to a great episode. That last line is heartbreaking!
Jinzle chapter 1 . 12/31/2011
Very moving and poignant. I always wondered if she really loved him or if he was just a good cover for her.
80sarcades chapter 1 . 12/31/2011
Sweet. Makes you wonder what would/could have happened if they had met under different circumstances. Great job, as always!
buggleston chapter 1 . 12/31/2011
Like the chapter very much from Lilli's (POV).You show her deciding on what true emotions she had for helping the allies and then the hardest part of leaving the safety and comfort that Karl brought her. Excellent chapter!
Six of Twelve chapter 1 . 12/30/2011
This was an episode I always wanted to know more about. I also sensed mixed feelings in Lilli; willing to do her part for the Allies, but also hating to have to hurt her husband int he process. I would have also liked to have read more from his point of view, when he realized she was truly gone.
konarciq chapter 1 . 12/30/2011
Only noticed the little *complete* there now. Anne, you can't do that to me! This is just begging, crying out for a continuation! Don't stop here? Please? I want to know how she fares in London, how he deals with her disappearance and - who knows, maybe? - a reunion later on? He loves her, she loves him - this story doesn't end here! It's just beginning!

Stopping here is even more cruel than the episode itself! You can't do that!

Please?
konarciq chapter 1 . 12/30/2011
So bittersweet... I, too, always felt there was great unexplored (skimmed over) personal drama in that episode. And both characters were so very likable.

Very much looking forward to a next installment (though I do hope you haven't forgotten about your dog story?).

One line though I don't really get:

"and the realization of what might have been - and what could never be"

What exactly is she talking about there?
dust on the wind chapter 1 . 12/30/2011
Oh, well done. A character who deserved more depth than a half-hour episode could give has finally received her due. Lilli's situation was a complicated one, and was barely touched on in the original script, and you've done a fine piece of character work in exploring it, as well as seamlessly inserting your additional scenes and dialogue into the fabric of the episode.

dust...
ColHogan chapter 1 . 12/30/2011
Very well written explaining things from Lilli's POV in D-Day at Stalag 13. I also plan on writing one at some time regarding the same thing eventually. But I really enjoyed this.
Jennaya chapter 1 . 12/30/2011
Absolutely beautiful, a nice look at her side of what was happening.
