There are many sad moments in the AC series, but Ezio finding Yusuf was always the worst (best?) for me. I love what you've done with the story of what we couldn't see, even if you did make me cry about it all over again :)

Those last couple of lines destroyed me! I'm a sobbing mess.

Oh Yusuf...

Your stories are always an emotional punch to the face. (In a good way) Yusuf was incredibly charasmatic and someone a grizzled Ezio needed. (But then he became another ghost for Ezio to remember) His love for the city is really touching, and the insights into who Ezio has become and use to be was poignant yet sorrowful.

"Ezio, it's so nice to die in Kostantinyye."

I swear that made me cry all over again.
I loved Yusuf SO MUCH, so so much, I had to pause the game when we learned he was dead because I was crying so much.

Why... WHY YOU DO THIS TO ME Yusuf, dear Yusuf, we haven't seven enough of this great guy in the game, but even then his death hurted! And now that we see more of him... Geez, I think I'm crying... Thank you former writing this anyway. I think I needed it.

I found this while searching for Ezio/Sofia fics, it was the first that came up. Of course, it is absolutely beautiful, and stills some of the ache that I feel from finishing Revelations. I then went to look up who had written it and see if there were other stories of value - what do you know? You are also the author of my other favorite AC fic, As a Tower Firmly Set. I hope you keep championing the Assassins cause with your wonderful story tellig abilities!

This is probably one of the most beautiful stories about Yusuf's death that I've ever read before. I'll be crying for the rest of the day, but that's okay :'( I absolutely love the prose in this. It's brilliant, and Yusuf is so very in character. And even though Ezio was pretty much a sub-character in this, you gave so much insight on his character through Yusuf in such a few lines and ohmygod, it was so beautiful. Yusuf is one of my favourite NPCs and Revelations is one of my favourite games :) Couldn't have asked for a better story. Thank you!
