It's the first fanfiction I read where Hikaru is a girl. I like how you paired her up with Yeongha, their couple is interesting, the little Sai... Is-he bullied at school? Or is he the reincarnation of Fujiwara Sai who begins to remember?
It's cute how Sai is in awe before Kuwabara, the Honinbo. Poor Yeongha must feel stolen his "hero" role. I wish Kuwabara talks about Hikaru's game for the shinshodan match... Yeongha's wife is a living puzzle, riddle!
Please, please don't abandon that fiction.

Sai is so ADHD that it hurts. I have ADHD myself, and Sai reminds me of myself at his age in a terrifying and painful way. It's a good thing though-it's incredible writing to be able to capture that so strongly.

...I'm having trouble writing this. I can't wait to see what happens with Sai.

i love the way you write hikaru, who is in some ways so driven, who is clearly so comfortable with her life and her family- like you say, she's found closure. and maybe someday it won't hurt at all to play go anymore. & i also love how clearly the other professionals respect her and miss her; i think it's really good of waya to not push, and just try to relate to her on her own terms, and i'm glad yeongha's taking something of the same route, after all the little ways he used to try and get her to talk about sai or get back into go. (he's actually turned out to be a very good husband. i'm glad.) i really like the way it seems sai's presence has left a mark on her go and on her son; it seems appropriate that even if sai himself is gone, a ghost of a ghost still lingers.

let me say again that i really like her and yeongha's relationship. they seem like they've really got things figured out, despite everything. even yeongha's jealousy over touya reads well: he's jealous, but not in a way that means he doesn't trust her. or even that he doesn't trust touya. if she ever tells anyone about sai, it's likely to be touya first, and i think yeongha might feel jealous but i think he'd understand: this isn't a situation that's about him.

i really like kid sai, too. he's such a real character, with a big personality, and you can really see how he can be all energy one moment and all silent concentration the next sometimes but other times not be able to calm down or focus or go to sleep. he feels like a real kid, complex and delightful and immature.

Mmmm I'm pretty sure small Sai's desire to play go is related to the goban and his nightmares...it couldn't be Ghost sai is haunted young Sai, could it?
