Short, but good... I feel like this is a great portrayal of a relationship between a sexual and an ace... Great job!

Aww, this was really well-written, and a good perspective on asexuality. Great work! :)

You've really got it, I think. Really good, keep writing
Lily chapter 1 . 12/23/2011
Talk about sex disorder. Whatever it is, this couple should go to therapy and help each other understand themselves and each other.

In the long run, Lily will suffer and it will trickle down to James. Because hiding problems like this will make the relationship deteriorate.

**How could I expect him to go a lifetime without it for my sake?

Spot-on. This is the single largest problem in asexual/sexual relationships.

**because to me, this feels like nothing. I'm simply going through the motions, waiting for it to be over.

Again, spot-on. I've heard some asexuals compare sex to chores, like doing the dishes, and this captures that well, I think.

**It's not as if I'm disgusted by how he looks, because I'm not. I just don't find him, or anyone else for that matter, attractive.

Great way to work in the description of asexuality.

**I want intimacy, but not this way.

Perfect! Romantic asexuals want intimacy but don't associate sex as being a way to intimacy, and I think you capture that well.

**I know he would never understand

Some non-asexuals have a lot of trouble understanding asexuals, and this describes that well.

**It would only bruise his ego, and I don't want to hurt him.

Just a perfect, humanizing description, that also seems very IC for Lily.

Overall, I think you did a great job capturing romantic asexuals, and I'm really glad you chose to participate in the challenge. It also seems IC for both Lily and James, and I'm glad you chose such a major pairing to write this for, because it really offers a new angle to the pairing.

Thanks again for taking up my challenge, and great job!
