I know I've reviewed before but I must reiterate my total awe at this story. Yes, in part it's true, perhaps you know more about that night than you'd ever be willing to talk about or perhaps, you're just an absolutely amazing story teller. Either way, this story raises the hairs on the back of my neck and leaves my arms covered in goose bumps. You capture each and every emotion of Steve and his friends/team/family in such detail that I can imagine the story in the very real life form of the characters off the tv - I can see them going through this. From Gracie falling into her father's arms to Chin's cool exterior and Joe along with Gutches and his shit eating grin carrying the laptop into the office. Your writing skills are incredible and I re read this story when I'm sad. And today I'm sad. Thanks for offering this way to pour out my heart and grief all in one go.

Yay! I knew it was irrational to hope that he would walk into the headquarters all "Hey guys, what's going on?" but this was perfect. I loved every part of it. I can't wait to click next and read the last piece of this.

A DANNY-RANT! Just what I wanted! Those are some of my favorite moments in the show! I'm now on to chapter 4 because I NEED to know what happened...

NOOO! I know Steve isn't dead because that would just be so WRONG of you...but Danny doesn't know that! But he's a pretty stubborn guy so even if Steve was dead, Danny wouldn't let him stay that way. Loved this.

Holy crap that was a good opening chapter. I'm all like 'what the heck is going to go wrong?' and wishing that Danny could suddenly become a SEAL and go with him just to watch his back...I loved the way you structured it, with Danny thinking back and then the conversation. My favorite part though was the end when he got the letter that he was being called in and then they both remembered what he'd said two nights before...I got chills of foreboding...

I'm not reviewing the chapter but the whole story. I loved it. But,then I love when writers get into Super Seal Steve's Navy life. This story had it all the secret Seal mission, the team's fear over Steve being MIA or dead, Gracie's fear about Uncle Steve and the team closing ranks to support each other. I really like Danny's reaction to see Joe White after hearing about the Chopper Crash. Only thing I'd Have done different or liked to have seen; is after Danny let Joe go have him turn back and punch Joe in the video call from Steve was a nice touch.I think the ending was was just warm and fuzzy enough without crossing over into the "let me sleep with you and keep you warm zone." This was that kind of story. Good job. I'm out hear reading. I've Beta a couple times, if you need help I'm here.

I've just found this story and read it with my heart in my mouth, all the way through. I enjoy reading fiction and some are better than others on here, but this story is by far the most impressive I've read in a long while. I don't know how I've missed your work on NCIS and here on H50 but I'll be checking out your other work NOW.

This story was beautifully written, researched well and poignant given the tragic loss of a US Navy SEAL Team in the Stan, which hit the news here in the UK and was such a tragic loss of these brave souls. Your story highlights further the dangers our men and women face in these horrible countries on a daily basis. Using Steve McGarrett's character to portray one of these brave souls is incredibly clever use of a well liked character. Your writing style is imaginative and you leave little detail out of your work, which is mightily impressive. Well done and I'm very sorry to hear the sad news about your cat. Thanks for taking your spare time off from writing sports etc to write this.
