Muppet Christmas Carol is my favourite version of the classic and I love It's a Wonderful Life. I quite enjoyed this, not least because it's the first really hot day we had this year and it was nice to escape into a nice cold December if only for a while. Both the Colonel and Bingley being rakes was disturbing, thank the heavens for Darcy. Stories like this make us appreciate other people more as well as ourselves. I do wish I had a guardian angel to tell me what use I've been to others throughout my life though, particularly at times like this when I feel so insignificant. Thank you for reminding me of the message of both these tales, December is a long way off so if not for this story I'd be waiting months otherwise.
