Even though I know that this can be the best way to end a story, there is still a part of me that wants to know the original writer's version of what happens next. All in all this a pretty good take on the original story. I did notice more than a few grammatical errors and possibly other linguistic problems. Oh, yes, you do have a tremendous OVER-reliance on parenthetical statements. A professional editor can fix that problem. Just for the heck of it, go to YouTube and locate the late, great Victor Borge's "verbal punctuation" comedy routine. It's hilarious, but you might need to listen to it a few times! English was not his native language but he became an absolute master of all of its' idiosyncrasies.

I think that I missed something. It seems to me that in the space of one relatively short story Kara has transitioned from a blood cousin to a foster-cousin. Whatever changes Kal made to Earth's past should have NO bearing on that of Krypton's! Is there an explanation in the last chapter?

You keep using the word "wEary," which means "tired/ exhausted," instead of "wAry," which means "on guard and alert for trouble."

Do you have any idea just how long it takes to turn a newly-skinned pelt into a properly tanned and useful hide, especially if you plan to insure that the fur remains attached to the leather? I'm not a tanner but I suspect that it might take a few weeks, if not longer. The Amazon in question should have given Kal a tanned hide in exchange for the new pelt. Also, there were no "Romans" 3000 years ago. There MAY have been a few tribes of proto-Etruscans but I don't know for certain. I'm no expert but the Minoans MAY have existed that far back. I'm aware that there were other proto-Greek cultures but I don't know enough Ancient Greek history. A reasonable amount of historical plausibility is acutely important even when exercising artistic license.
