Wow! I loved this so much! The way you write Light is very special and I just loved him a lot here. This was very sweet and I think it’s my favorite death note fanfic!

Oh WOW! I don't even know why, but I'm slightly tearing up because of that. That was so well-written and I never thought I could enjoy a story in which Light doesn't get the notebook and I think I had put off reading this one for that reason, but I am so so so happy that I decided to give it a chance because it was marvelous. I should have been in bed a couple of hours ago but I needed to read it all at once and just...the way you captured Light. I just. Light is my favorite character and so when he is written well, it makes me so happy. I loved how you described his depression without actually saying that's what it was. I loved the beginning with little Light and how you showcased his maturing without his father present. I was waiting anxiously for L to show up so they could find each other. I LOVED Misa and Light's quick relationship. I do ship them a bit and so when I see Light reciprocating her feelings, it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside! The line about L just staying up and playing computer games killed me. And so did the subsequent "He knows too much." I thought those two lines were hilarious. Thank you for such a wonderful read!

This is beautiful! Thank you so much for writing this. It's a challenge when you're writing an AU to still convey the feeling of the series and the characters, but you nailed it. I loved getting to see them all in this different situation. The L/Light is so sweet and well-written, too! I'm not sure I agree about certain things being better left unsaid ;) But that was a beautiful ending all the same.

After I read this I decided I might as well visit the reviews to see if any of them has given this fic a smidge of respect.

It seemed they all ignored the beginning and just zoned in on the LxLightbusiness.

And while it is, admittedly, why people read fanfiction in the first place, when a piece is as profound as yours I do beilieve it deserves a proper I enjoyed it immensly and thought it was great.

First I like how human your Light is, how childlike and not immidiately and listlessly an apathetic person with his pride as his only sanctuary.

I really liked that Light wasnt Kira and that him and L could really still not get along, but fell in love anyway and ... Well I enjoyed the ending so much that you forced a smile (an indulgent, crooked smile) out of me.
