I know this story is old as hell. I know I left lots of love in the form of reviews back when it was still in progress. I remember this being one of the stories I would freak out about when I saw it was updated. Apparently I've now entered the 'reminisce on your fangirl days' phase of quarantine since I've started listening through all of Kevin and Jenna's showmance (Glee Recap edition) podcast and found myself venturing onto this site to stroll down memory lane over fics I've got favorited. I started by rereading this one. I am not ok. I started it on a rainy day earlier in the week and finished it yesterday when I couldn't even tear myself away to take my daily walk, despite it being a gorgeous day (finally!). All these years later - after I gave up and stopped watching Glee after S3 (with a brief return when Amber & Samcedes came back for 5B), after going on with life and a crazy busy schedule and project after project and discovering new shows and music that bring me the joy Glee once did - I am still such Samcedes trash. I love this fic so much. It just makes my heart so happy. Thank you for writing it and for sharing it and for keeping it up for us to enjoy down the line. 3

Wowzers, it's been years since I even thought of this story! I feel like rereading everything took me back to the good ole days. It's amazing how much has changed since 2011. Samcedes was what introduced me to fanfiction in the first place, then tumblr, then ao3 and I have never looked back since. This used to be one of my favourite fics back in the day and I thank you for coming back- even after all this time, to conclude this story and give me some closure! LOL thanks again! Xx

For this one, I thought about just reading chapter 30, but then in a flash of brilliance, I decided to go back to the very beginning. If anything at all, just to refresh my memory since I have read this story before. The impact, the magnitude of chapter 30 would be so much greater if I started from chapter 1 and read the whole thing through.

Thank you so very much for coming back and gracing us with an update to this fabulous story. I appreciate it more than I can say, much less type. I know RIB did you wrong. RIB did us all wrong. In fact, I haven't seen a single episode of Glee since the series finale 3 years ago. My anger with them is still that intense. So I come to the FanFiction board to get my SamCedes fix. I find that the FanFiction writers do a lot better job in writing for SamCedes than the entire Glee writing team (minus Chris Colfer). Lately, both new and updated SamCedes stories have come to a screeching halt. That has filled me with a mixture of sadness and just being mad because RIB robbed the joy that SamCedes fans had about writing for those characters. They robbed you of your inspiration. For that, I am sorry. I just hope that once again you put pen to paper and continue to write for my favorite couple.

On a side note: Sam is going to have to do something spectacular to top his Time Square "I wanted to tell you that I love you and I apologize for being an ass" serenade, when it comes to his proposal. I don't think Mercedes will say yes to anything less! LOL!

I’ve been waiting YEARS for you to come back to this story. I’ve read it so many times! FWB is my fave! I actually had to reread it again before I read this chapter and you did not disappoint.
