Yeah, I remeber hearing about Phillip Brooks during one of my church services as a kid. If I can recall, I think he was a famous pastor who had preached during the American Civil War. He ended up going to Bethlehem afterwards and saw how little the birthplace of Christ had changed in the last eight hundred years. Seeing how you researched this, you probably know more than I do about the subject, but it's a nice memory for me.

Amazing job, I can't wait to see more stories from you.
It'sArtemis chapter 5 . 7/3/2015
My goodness this chapter was sweet, but, it was kind of scary. Is it strange to find insane protective America attractive? I don't think so... *blushes like tomato*
elizabeta H. Austria chapter 6 . 12/26/2013

wrencrank chapter 1 . 4/22/2012
I like seeing Churchhill and Roosevelt. A new perspective on UKUS is nice, especially when it's their bosses. Nice job!
Funny Unicorn Called Koko chapter 1 . 4/21/2012
Lol USXUK ftw!
Trumpet-Geek chapter 6 . 4/4/2012
These were all nice, but this last one was just really...pretty. Alfred's got such a pretty mind XD That seems weird to say, doesn't it. Oh well!
natcat5 chapter 3 . 1/7/2012
Ack, so late to the party. Being a lazy bum all Christmas break will do that. I am so in awe of you doing your crazy six-days-left bonanza. *bows* We are not worthy of you breaking your back for us like that! But I loved all the fics. They went from fluffy and funny to more somber and a bit heartbreaking. Ah~ I love you're writing.

This is my favourite one though.

First, it highlights my favourite thing about your writing. Your ability to write USUK in a crapload of different situations. Second...holy age difference batman. You weren't kidding when you said significantly older. I was little weirded out at first but then it grew to be something I loved about it. Third...it's hard to describe, but I just loved this fic. Perhaps it's the fact that the relationship is wrong and is started for the wrong reasons and Alfred is totally being taken advantage of. And yet, against all odds, there is love there. Alfred says it perfectly when he says he felt like he just scratched the surface of Arthur Kirkland and he could have gone so much deeper. I think that's part of the heartbreak. That maybe, Alfred would have been able to discover what makes Arthur tick. Maybe they could have seriously fallen in love with each other. I don't know. Who does know?

Really, I just think it was a beautiful story. It was twisted and dark but...I loved it. Definitely my fave out of all the Christmas fics.
Wings of Water - SKYE chapter 3 . 12/29/2011
Oh my god. I can't even explain to you how much I love your 50 year old Arthur to Alfred's 19. It didn't come off creepy or unnatural, and I'm sure you've just created a hot new AU in Hetalia fanfiction :)
KDSFJIUDKL chapter 6 . 12/28/2011
A very lovely way of ending a lovely holiday season, and a brilliant collection of holiday-themed stories. May we all learn from Alfred and rediscover the gift of compassion in the new year.

Rest well, brave, sweet author.

I'm a little late. Sorry.

Keeping things brief, I really enjoyed how the characters turned out. You definitely pull off making America's over-protectiveness creepy, without America seeming overly creepy himself. And Arthur practically embodies the caged animal feel. Glorious.

I absolutely loved this series of short stories. This Christmas was all the better! I dearly hope you'll do the same for next year's and thank you again!
