Since I totally could not get enough of this, I read it thru in 2 &1/2 days, not wanting to stop long enough to leave any reviews as I read. This is the most incredible writing I've ever read on the sweet little missing moments between my two fav characters!
I truly wish you had a hand in writing scripts on the tv series for those two! I do hope you'll decide to pick-up where you left off and continue writing your magic; filling in all those holes in the tv scripts, bringing to life missing moments and extended scenes. You are an amazing author! Thanx for sharing your talents with me and the rest of the Caryl fandom!

Damn it, you would think I would have learned my lesson about reading fanfiction at work when I'm liable to get a bit weepy, but I couldn't resist. I love the way you address each of the episodes. It's something I've always wanted to try, but I'm usually rather reluctant to write anything before the show is over just so I know what canon is and exactly where I'm going to deviate. I'm a year late, but forget punctuality. This is a beautiful work, and I think you should be proud of it. I'll be the first to admit I cried like a baby reading this. This is so wonderfully, beautifully written. Finishing it up now, I almost feel dizzy, the kind of dizzy you feel after someone shakes you. This story so far has shaken me to the core. It's downright unrepentant, just like the show. You feel some kind of hope, and then the reality if things comes crushing back down on you, and you feel sheepish at the fact that you were smiling to begin with.
You know, there was a moment where I was expecting Sophia to live, and then she got bit. And I didn't stop sniffling until she walked off into the fog. Because it was absolutely heart wrenching to witness all the hoping and wishing and searching, knowing that Sophia was long gone.
Your characterization of Daryl in particular, I believe, is spot on. There's undertones of a childlike stubbornness present beneath all of his actions and thoughts that just make it all the more earnest. Your Carol is beautiful as well. It's great to get a look into her headspace as she works through her grief.
I know you have a life you need to live, but I would LOVE to see an update! If you don't get around to post anymore, thank you so much for taking the time to share this lovely work.

The scene where they bury sofia is just heartbreaking but really great writing! Love this scene with Dale and love Carol decision to be strong and fight! Great story!

Loved it! So amazing! You captured the small amd tender moments, that could've been lost, so well. You really made me see both of them for what I think they really are. So well done! Can't wait to read more.

This was great! I really like the way you worked with the series by episode. Did you see the deleted scene with Daryl and Carol in "Judge, Jury, Executioner?" If not, it's worth watching.

I hope you write more, now that we're on hiatus until February...do you have any plans to?
