This would be a wonderful thread to expand upon. It hadn't really occurred to me before that Castiel wouldn't pass on after he became (demi-?)human. I wonder, then, were we to pin this idea on Endverse!Cas, if he really would have died on that suicide rush Future!Dean sent them on while he went to confront Samifer.
