its a shame no tv series will ever make a decent crossover for real. I'd be the first person to watch a Doctor Who crossover. Alas, - sigh - I'll have to make do with fan fiction. Thanks to writing this, its been a blast.

*grins madly* Wonderful story! I loved your little tidbits of 'historical' information about the Time Lord's relationship with the Four Great Races, which was a great way to subtly explain why the Time Lords didn't merit being the Fifth Great Race (although I suppose technically they'd probably be the first, since they're the oldest...). And how the Doctor kept rambling on off-topic. It's just such a staple of several (although not all) of the Doctors that Hammond's comment made me laugh.

Very cute. But why would Carter say "No" when The Doctor started mentioning her going with him. Seems like she'd be crazy curious and at least want to go on one adventure with The Doctor. After all, this is still very early Carter who may be just a bit too curious for her own good. Besides, I think Carter would make an amazing companion. She could understand a fair amount of what he talked about but still leave her feeling dumb and he could have someone to really talk science and philosophy with who would share his wonder at how amazing the universe really is. I think they'd have an amazing time together, especially Sam and the (late) 9th or 10th Doctor.
