What a truly sweet scene. I appreciate the fact that you didn't make him goofy and silly. While they are some of the greatest characteristics of Matt Smith's portrayal of the Doctor, I can't imagine him being that way all the time. He's hundreds of years old after all. I also really liked the way you slipped in his true name. Just today I was wondering how lonely I would feel if I kept my name to myself, and how special it would be whenever I was with the one person who actually knew it. The only suggestion I have for you my friend, is switching the world "impaled." I get the imagery you were trying to depict, but at the same time reading that term reminds me of decidedly unromantic, heads on a pike, and I was thrust from the scene for a moment there. Other than that, wonderful job!
