ecss896 chapter 1 . 1/13/2015 very hard to follow, but I suppose that was the point. |
PK Smugleaf chapter 1 . 7/28/2013 This, to me, just screams of a short story called "Flowers for Algernon." And I liked that, so, I like this! |
Officer Hotpants chapter 1 . 2/9/2013 My heart is crying. |
NikaChuS2 chapter 1 . 1/5/2013 The style is really good, it captures how bad Derpy's condition is. |
ThereisnoSyntaxhere chapter 1 . 4/16/2012 I— My god. I just— I love this. I love this and I love you for writing this. When I saw the lack of punctuation, I groaned inside. I was wondering if TvTropes was wrong to put this on the Reccomendations page. "Surely", I thought,"they would only use good stories with good grammar?" But I kept reading. And I'm glad I did. The lack of punctuation makes it better. It lets us see just how bad Derpy's brain damage is, as well as how well she can manage with it. Keep writing. I don't care what, just write. Write more. This is beautiful, grammar or no. I can see why this was reccomended. |
Henry Anthony Courtler chapter 1 . 12/14/2011 This was a very well done and written story. First one I've read where Ditzy/Derpy is the main character and this seems just like her. It was very intense and you had me scared for a moment if they were just going to put her out of her misery or something. Any chance a continuation will be made? |
Bluehorse14 chapter 1 . 12/12/2011 Princess Luna gathering all the people, or at least two of them, with troubles. Several interesting moves that i didn't expect. First was choosing Derpy Hooves. Of all the ponies i imagine very few people choose Derpy, most would go with any of the main six but this was adventurous and considering the character realistic. The second was choosing to connect the two stories (for those not the author reading this review the stories are Rarity goes Blind and this one). While it is more then possible and easy to imagine it could have been easier to have them be two separate alternate universes. I imagine that this has a purpose Third is choosing brain damage as a problem was risky yet effective. You seen blindness no one on this sight recognizes it as they are reading the story, ergo not blind, and most likely never met anyone who is blind. Mean while mental issues are something that most of us see all the time in passing on our way to class you might see the special education students. Therefore something more recognizable and more not wanting to talk about so putting in the readers face forces them to see what it might be like. Very nicely done. I look forward to further additions and i assume an eventual conclusion. The classic happy ending, or a simple scene of togetherness among those less fortunate. Either way i look forward to it.
