I'm sorry I missed this before - this was perfect! I wasn't expecting the part with Derek's mother, but I am glad you added it. (I still feel bitter over how they handled that on the show...surely his mother would have been there when he was shot. They missed so many opportunities, as usual!)

I do wish we could get more of this on the show too...the last Valentine Day episode was not exactly what I'd hoped for. End of rant...you do great work with this, and I hope you continue to do the one-shots!
