Reviews for Walk Humbly with Thy God
BrokenKestral chapter 1 . 9/24/2019
The comparison of Solomon and Edmund never occurred to me, but you made it perfect.

I could see Edmund doing exactly as Solomon did, in the trial of the living child when the Queen came to visit. This is perfect.
Dino-Rogue chapter 1 . 8/6/2015
Beautiful, simply devine! The book itself, might I say, needs this!
Frodo's sister chapter 1 . 8/22/2014
Good story. Reminds me of Wisdom.
Saoirse7 chapter 1 . 2/27/2012
Good Narnian application of Solomon's similar conversation with God. It goes well with Edmund's title and his life after what happened with the Stone Table. I really like the inclusion of the verse at the beginning! :)
Swanwhite2 chapter 1 . 12/13/2011
*applauds* Is this the historical account that the Narnian's kept? The older English makes for a nice connection to the older translation of the Bible as well as the way the Pevensies started to talk during the Golden Age. The way we see them speak at the end of LWW and during HHB is very seldom recalled in fanfiction. Anyway it makes great sense to have Edmund receive his wisdom in the way that Solomon did. I like that you've given the credit there.
Laura Andrews chapter 1 . 12/10/2011
I love that passage in the Bible, and you did it just right. I think it applies very well to Edmund :D I did notice a minor typo: in the last paragraph you wrote: And there were brought before the younger *kings*

Keep writing!
WriterWilf chapter 1 . 12/10/2011
Excellent. Like the Old English too. Very few people can use that speech well in fanfics.

Awwww.

"I am but a little child. I know not whence I did come nor whither to go."

Dear little Edmund. It's SO sweet.

Beautifully done.
