I think you're stretching plausibility by having her say Jareth on time with out a watch or something, but it's one of those dramatic conveniences things that one can let slide.

The prose is pretty good and I like the direction you had Sarah's life take.

LOVE that you didn't go the old she could call her friends but never did cause she grew up or was scared root I hate that.

Looking forward to some great J/S interaction.

I have read many stories throughout the years, written a few that have sadly fallen into disuse, and the one thing that I love to see is description! And this story, or at least this first chapter, is so ripe with it! It doesn't drag down the storyline, but helps it glide along like that same owl in flight. The characters are multidimensional and so far true to form. I'm very interested in the time difference as well, it's an interesting twist that I haven't seen before. The tiny little spelling mistakes are easily overlooked because the story is so good! I hope, very much, to see more of this story soon! Happy writing!
