Wow. This is beautiful. Aang's thoughts, and your writing style, are so simple, yet so complex. You pretty much summed up all the reasons why Katara and Aang need each other, and why he cares about her so much. I mostly write about Zutara, but I want to do something for Kataang, because it's so beautiful. Anyway, good job. Keep writing!
