Wow. First of all may I say I hope you are well? A few weeks ago I had a sudden urge to read the silence verse, I read both and then moved on to these 2 masterpieces, I had totally forgotten that this one wasn’t complete would you ever consider taking it up again? It’s such an amazing story, even re-reading it I’ve been enthralled unable to put it down, I don’t know what I’m going to read now lol I do so hope you haven’t forgotten it, hard to imagine with how much effort you pput in. Here’s hoping you add more one day :)

I revisit this story often - this story is one that has never escaped my memories or faded from my daydreams. This is a work of fiction that truly gave me a sense of what "mastery" meant. It is a friend, so to speak - in fact, I may very well know this work more accurately than I do its source material.

All of this to say, there is a sharp ache in my heart where this story is unfinished, and a sharper ache where I wonder where you've gone, if you are okay, if you have found health and peace and happiness. I do not know you but you are a friend to me because your writing makes me feel so deeply.

It is a pleasure to read a work that was written with such depth and passion and empathy. I think there are few fictions that have provided me such an experience of humanity.

I know it has been many years since you posted to this story. It's been, in fact, many years since I read it! I previously finished Strange and Invisible History, and got to about chapter 43 in this tale before real life drew me away. But I never forgot about it. I searched high and low using every phrase and description I could think of for about a year before someone pointed me to a subreddit with a bot that helped me locate it again. I was sorry to see it had never been finished, but even as it stands it's an amazing, incredible tale. I love it quite a lot. Thank you for putting as much into it as you did. I hope you finish it someday, and that you are well. _

I’ve just binge read this and SIH. They’re incredible. Rich, bright, beautiful and painful by turns. This whole series is remarkably well done. I know it’s been four years with no updates and your health was not always the best but I do hope someday we’ll see all their stories finished. Until then, your work and the world’s you’ve created are truly beautiful.

I recently finished the previous story and found this sequel. I am loving your story and characters, but am concerned that this one is unfinished. Please keep writing and finish this one.

I love how epic these stories are. I hope real life is going well, but I'd also like to see the rest of this one.

Every year or so I reread the whole epic thing, and everytime it breaks my heart that one of the most well written, compelling, interesting, mind blowing fantasy stories that I have ever read is not only unfinished, but also unacknowledged by the vast majority of Harry Potter fans. I read a lot of fantasy and the way you have woven this is up there with George RR Martin and Guy Gavriel Kay in terms of brilliance. The way that the family grows over time, the depth of love between them, is so incredible. I honestly have no idea how you manage to take the evilest of characters and, without justifying or removing the worst of their worst deeds, make them entirely sympathetic. If this was a published novel, or series, I would not only buy it new, I would recommend it to everyone I know.

Interestingly, one of my favourite relationships is Lemuel and Alise. I feel like i should be more weirded out about that than I am... But the way you have written them, somehow, you make it work. You make everything work.

I would love it if you posted this on AO3 as I am sure it would get a lot of well-deserved attention and love. Thank you for sharing this with us!

Whew. I've just read all of 'Strange and Invisible History' and this, over the last few weeks.

This is a fantastic story, an epic of fanfiction, a truly monumental piece of work. I hope it isn't dead when it seems so close to ending.

Haha, I just read the Author's Note. "At one point, being fat was desirable, especially in infants..." Has that changed? I don't know what kind of person doesn't love a fat baby, but I'm sure they must be unpleasant.
