No doubt about it. You just completely crushed my heart. :'( I'm going to go sob now, then read the sequel.

I loved the banter between Dick and Robin, they’re such cute brothers, and one of my favorite lines was Dick’s "That's pretty intense. I'll alert the media." which made me laugh out loud. I also loved reading about the differences them, as Robin has been trained to be silent and analytical and while Dick is all unrestricted emotions. The superhero personas they created really highlight those differences, and I love imagining them standing side by side in their costumes.

I don’t know much about Mary and John Grayson but I enjoyed their interactions with the boys and smiled at how being around them made Robin happy. And I smiled happily during the scenes in which the four flying graysons performed or peacefully ate a meal together, and it was awesome to see them beating Sportsmaster’s family. I honestly expected Batman to save them when Cheshire held Dick hostage, so that was a pleasant surprise.

It was also nice how Batman warmed up to Robin and felt the same connection that compelled the other Batman to take him in. I was sad about Robin having to go back, but I was able to emotionally prepare myself for the heartbreaking farewell chapters earlier. And as Robin realized, it’s just not meant to be, and you can’t have everything you want. Though I cheered myself up by thinking about the people back in Robin’s dimension who miss him and will be happy to see him back. All in all, great story, and now I’m off the read the sequel :)
