Wow, I mean, wow.

I'm just speechless. I really really feel the frustration Shifu is emanating through out all this fic. I mean, it's impossible not to. This perspective is interesting. It's a noble gesture on his side to try to steer his new kid on the right path, but he saw the pain of an unloved child and in his actions he never really amended that void in Tigress-

And I will never understand why you need to pick a side in that issue. Shifu did some wrong, but for understandable reasons. And as long as he realizes this and begins to try, then there is no reason to condemn him.

I honestly don't know what to say...words cannot properly express what I just read. It was...beautiful! I could really feel Shifu's pain, all he has to go through when he doesn't what will happen to his daughter. It so sad I couldn't help but cry while I read - yes I did cry. Oh I loved it so much!

I hope you continue, I really want t know what will happen to Tigress. Oh please!

Holly shh- I will never be able to watch that scene in the movie where she's a little cub without thinking about this. What a wonderful story, really: full of emotion and very well written...

Is perfect. One gets to feel really bad for both of them. At first I kept thinking "shifu, you're such an asshole!" But now... poor guy.

It's just so hard to find great fics of Shifu in it, but this one pretty much nailed it. I love how you captured his coldhearted exterior and his inability to express his emotions, even though deep inside he does truly care.

I could actually feel a tight pain in my chest while reading this. Brilliant. I also liked that you didn't give away all that was going on concerning Tigress's condition.

This has a "in the moment" feel to it. You really grasped Shifu's regret and uneasiness. The way he criticizes himself for what he has done, yet almost completely defends his actions using the Tai Lung excuse.

I love the detail and the emotion you were able to capture in this one-shot. I could literally feel the pain, anguish, and regret that weighed down on Shifu, and I must say that it fit perfectly with his character.

The way you were able to translate his emotions into the written form was absolutely astounding. I know this is a one-shot, but are you planning on continuing with another one-shot maybe? I don't want to make you feel like you have to, but I would really like to know what is going to happen to Tigress.

I'm a sucker for the father/daughter relationship between Shifu and Tigress, and it breaks my heart to think that Shifu won't get the chance to tell her how he really feels about her, and how proud he is of her.

This story is just so heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time! How do you do it?
