I liked how the conversation grew naturally from their 'theme song', as it were. I have my suspicions about the je t'aime bit, though. It seems to be one of the French phrases that people pick up for fun, and particularly so in Eames' case, given his penchant for flirting. Ie Arthur should have expected him to know that phrase even though he said that he didn't know French. Nevertheless, after suspending disbelief, it eas both amusing and sweet.

What a great idea for a fanfic! 'Non, je ne regrette rien' is like a theme song for everyone in Inception, especially for Arthur and Eames :]

I was wondering what that song meant and I loved all of the fluff. Awesome story.

AWWWWWWWWWW THIS IS SO FLUFFY IT HURTS! I love it! I quite like (read: love love love) the idea of Arthur and Eames as "screw buddies" as you put it, LoL, but not actually "in a relationship" - and then it sort of merging into something else. And Arthur being embarrassed about that and not wanting to let Eames know 'cause he's so darn repressed and like "GAH I CANNOT HAVE THESE FEELINGS AGGAJAY" or "THEN I SHALL SIT HERE CONSUMED WITH LUST FOR THE REST OF THE EVENING". And then Eames finding out he really loves him and FEELING THE SAME WAY TOO, it's just beautiful. You have hit my A/E kinks TO PERFECTION. This whole fic has me squeeing all over them! :D

EAMES SINGING IS HAIOAGUAG SO CUTE. I love that he wants to protect Arthur and it's so sweet that he's so caring with him. AND HE WATCHES HIM SLEEP THAT IS JUST ADORABLE AND NOT STALKERISH AT ALL. And he's enjoying the feel of his hair. Awwh! And I love it when he translates - I can just imagine him being oh so slightly suggestive about it. And Arthur speaking French. THAT WOULD BE SEXY. I DO NOT BLAME YOU FOR ENJOYING THAT, EAMES. Awh, and it's so bittersweet that bit about him finally being able to say "beautiful words to this beautiful person" - 'cause he's no good with words, but he wants Arthur to know how he FEELS, but he doesn't know how to tell him. AND ARTHUR SAYING "je t'aime" IS JUST TOO CUTTTE. Because he wants to tell Eames how he FEELS too, it's so important it just comes out, but he doesn't want him to know about it - he needs to say it but he doesn't want him to hear, BUT HE DOES HEAR, even though he can't speak French, LOVE KNOWS NO LANGUAGE, OK, and I love how Arthur's so embarrassed and it's BECAUSE he doesn't want him to know, because he's so nervous and embarrassed and shy about it, that he finds out. It's just perfect - they just WOULD do that. AND IT ENDS WITH SNUGGLING.

So erm yes you might be able to tell that I quite enjoyed this fic.
