Aha! I found you! I was thinking of this story (which I read several months ago and am ashamed to say I left without a review), and then I had this sudden urge to read it again. America's longing is, dare I say it, rather relatable; I can feel exactly what he feels, and it is such a bittersweet feeling that I had to experience it again for the sake of catharsis. Thank goodness I found it without too much time lost - but I shall have to favorite it so I don't lose it again!
